IDs Released For Duo Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-495 In Mansfield

Authorities have identified the two people killed in an early morning multi-vehicle crash in Mansfield as Crystal Blake, age 32, of Dorchester, and Roland Roberge, age 27, of Norton.

Crews responded to the crash on I-495 south just after the South Main Street bridge in Mansfield just before 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, Mansfield Fire said on Facebook

Upon arrival, police found three vehicles in the right breakdown lane and two vehicles in the center median, according to Massachusetts State Police. Blake and Roberge were pronounced dead on arrival both inside their respective vehicles, police said. 

Meanwhile, 44-year-old man from Brockton and a 46-year-old woman from Attleboro were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries. A fifth person, 19-year-old man from Cumberland, RI, sustained no injuries and refused medical treatment, State Police said.

I-495 was closed for almost four hours as crews worked to clean up the crash, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
